Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hola Aloha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davig Singh! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aloha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Singh fails with a takedown attempt. Singh leaves Aloha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Aloha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Aloha drives through with a takedown into guard. Singh has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aloha off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Singh moves into range and clinches up with Aloha. Aloha looking for a takedown. Singh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aloha gets underhooks to prevent Singh's takedown attempt.
Singh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aloha pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hola Aloha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davig Singh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aloha darts in looking for a takedown but Singh gets double underhooks and turns Aloha into the cage. Singh clinches with his opponent.
Singh has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Aloha clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Aloha is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Singh.
Let's hope that Singh has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Singh tries to get the hooks in deep but Aloha pushed the leg off. Singh is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Aloha has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh keeps control of the position easily here as Aloha tries to buck him off.
Singh somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Aloha is in bad spot here.
Aloha wants to get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aloha trying to control but not successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singh avoiding Aloha 's attempts to control his hands. Singh is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Aloha has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Singh connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Aloha to escape the position.
