Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Serafim Lupei (ranked 376 p4p, 49 weight class) and Philip Ziskie (ranked 569 p4p, 72 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Philip Ziskie!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Lupei slams his shin into Ziskie's torso.
Ziskie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Ziskie darts in and clinches Lupei up against the cage.
Ziskie goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Ziskie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lupei uses from the top position.

Ziskie has his foot on Lupei's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lupei works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Serafim Lupei will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Ziskie.
Lupei has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Lupei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lupei doesn't manage to clinch there - Ziskie circles away.

Lupei looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lupei feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ziskie's calf.

and Lupei counters with a good, hard body kick but Ziskie shrugs it off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lupei. That's going to slow Ziskie down.
Ziskie lands with a straight right. Lupei didn't see that one coming.

Ziskie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lupei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ziskie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Lupei fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ziskie, pushing him back against the cage.
Lupei tries to throw a body punch but Ziskie avoids it by throwing Lupei back against the cage.
Ziskie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lupei after a bit of a struggle.
A head punch on the inside from Lupei fails to land.
Ziskie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lupei pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Serafim Lupei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Philip Ziskie.

Lupei is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ziskie can do to turn this around?
Lupei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ziskie circles away quickly and effectively.
And Ziskie tries to counter it with a takedown but Lupei pushes his down on his head and steps out.
