Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between KC Turner (ranked 4824 p4p, 219 weight class) and Genou Badop (ranked 5210 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Badop .
Badop slips a jab from Turner.
Badop tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turner defends well and Badop ends up having to push Turner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Turner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Badop doesn't seem bothered though.

Turner cracks Badop with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Turner lands a really nice looking cross but Badop seems unphased.

Badop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Badop bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Turner is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Badop off and has taken his back!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Turner connects with a nice short shot to Badop 's temple.

Badop feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner is trying to drag Badop to the mat but Badop just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Turner wants to take the fight to the mat but Badop manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Badop jumps guard but Turner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Badop will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Turner up against the cage.

Turner is working Badop over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Badop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Turner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
