Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wilson Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alonzo Trotter!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotter connects with a body shot that sends Brooks's belly button to the back.
Trotter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Trotter instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Brooks.
Trotter tries for a takedown but Brooks manages to get underhooks.
Brooks looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Brooks swings wildly with an uppercut but Trotter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Trotter lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Brooks lands a hook to the side of the head.
Trotter is looking for a takedown.
Brooks throws an elbow but it misses.
Trotter has Brooks pressed against the cage, preventing Brooks from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Brooks lands an elbow inside.
Brooks misses with the head strike.

Brooks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Trotter connects with a crisp jab.
Trotter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Brooks counter with a right hand.
Brooks takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Trotter swings for the body but Brooks moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Brooks misses the target.
We've been told by Brooks's head coaches at Beau's that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brooks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trotter.
Brooks avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brooks looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Brooks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wilson Brooks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brooks thows a left - swing and a miss!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trotter.
Wilson Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alonzo Trotter.

Trotter connects with a body shot.
A jab from Brooks does it's job there.
Nice defenses there by Brooks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trotter throws a low kick, looking for Brooks's leg but Brooks calmly moves out of range.
Brooks throwing a counter right hand but Trotter manages to avoid it.
Trotter wants to clinch.

Trotter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brooks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Trotter is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Brooks is trying to improve his position.

Trotter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brooks, who protects the arm well.
Brooks is looking to regain half guard here but Trotter keeps moving and retains side control.
Brooks wants to control but Trotter postures up.

Trotter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trotter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Brooks is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Brooks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trotter is working away from the top position though.
Trotter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Trotter winds up and cracks Brooks with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brooks is trying to get back to full guard.
Brooks wants to get back to his feet.
Brooks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brooks trying to control here.
Brooks flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brooks regains full guard. Nicely done.
Brooks looking for a sweep. Not yet Brooks, not yet.
Brooks trying to control the position.
Trotter lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trotter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Brooks wants to sweep here but Trotter controlling him for the moment.

Trotter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alonzo Trotter dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Trotter misses with a straight left.
Alonzo Trotter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trotter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Trotter misses with a wild body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Brooks misses the target.
Brooks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Trotter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brooks scrambles back to his feet.
Trotter avoids the head kick by Brooks.
Trotter throws out a loose jab but Brooks uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brooks swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Trotter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brooks, pushing him back against the cage.
Trotter blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trotter tries to pull guard but Brooks holds him up against the cage and eventually Trotter drops back down to his feet.
Trotter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Brooks backwards.
Trotter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brooks fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brooks tries to land a leg kick but Trotter saw it coming and moves away.
Brooks throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Trotter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trotter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Trotter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Brooks scores with a nice strike.
Brooks connects with a nice looking jab.
Trotter walks into a straight right hand from Brooks.
Trotter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Brooks counters with a straight right hand.
Trotter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brooks manages to avoid it.
Trotter throws a leg kick
and Brooks counters with a huge left! Trotter is in big trouble! He's backing up but Brooks isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Trotter from any more damage. A dominating finish by Brooks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilson Brooks!
Wilson Brooks decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Alonzo Trotter was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry dudes'.
