Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamal Browne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Franklin Marshall! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall closes the distance and clinches. Browne manages to break the clinch.
Browne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marshall but Marshall pushes him off and we're back to square one. Browne moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMarshall. Jamal Browne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marshall gets the takedown into side control. Browne throws Marshall to one side and escapes! Browne shoots for a double leg takedown but Marshall sprawls well. He's pushed Browne's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Marshall wants to counter with a clinch but Browne pushes him away. Browne takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Browne fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marshall, pushing him back against the cage. Marshall slowing the pace effectively. Marshall turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Browne isn't going anywhere. Browne tries to buck Marshall off but Marshall is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Browne is trying to buck Marshall off. Marshall is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Browne will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Browne can't do much from the bottom here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Browne is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Marshall decides to stand up, so the ref orders Browne to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Marshall doesn't manage to clinch there - Browne circles away.
Browne drives through with a takedown into guard. Browne stands up over Marshall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Marshall is looking to stand up but Browne isn't so interested in that idea. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marshall can do anything to dispel that myth. Browne distracts Marshall with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Browne tries to free his leg and advance position but Marshall is retaining full guard. Browne missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Marshall trying to keep a closed guard but Browne is proving a slippery customer.

Browne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Browne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marshall but Marshall pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamal Browne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Browne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Browne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marshall is fending him off so far but Browne persists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marshall tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Browne keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Marshall prevents Browne from improving his position. Marshall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Browne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Browne moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Browne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marshall is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marshall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Browne looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Browne seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Browne pushes Marshall off and gets back to his feet.

Franklin Marshall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Marshall has his takedown stuffed and Browne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marshall's guard. Marshall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marshall leaves Browne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Marshall scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Browne shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marshall defends it nicely.

Marshall wants to counter the offense by Browne and move into the clinch position. Marshall throws a nice inside leg kick. Marshall lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Marshall goes for a double leg but Browne avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Browne continues to drive forward. Browne tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Marshall counters with a big head kick but Browne shrugs it off. Browne tries to clinch but Marshall moves out of range. Marshall tries a head kick but it misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Browne fails with the takedown. Browne closes the distance and clinches up with Marshall, looking for a takedown. Browne pushes Marshall against the cage but Marshall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marshall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marshall fails to land with a series of punches.

Horrible takedown attempt by Browne or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall, which made it look bad. The fighters circle momentarily. Marshall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Browne looks for a takedown but Marshall sprawls well. Marshall wants to counter with a clinch but Browne pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Franklin Marshall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Marshall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
