Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Murphy (ranked 5547 p4p, 538 weight class) and Jason Cole (ranked 7610 p4p, 626 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jason Cole was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Cole! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy lands the left hand. Cole throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Murphy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Murphy throws a shot to the body.
Cole takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Cole throws out a loose jab but Murphy uses good head movement to avoid it. A counter left hand to the body from Murphy misses its target. Cole takes a body punch but keeps moving. Murphy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murphy is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Murphy lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murphy finds it's way round the side to connect with Cole's head. Murphy connects with a body shot that sends Cole's belly button to the back. Murphy lands an overhand right. Murphy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cole looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cole takes one to the side of the head.
Cole takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cole takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cole takes one on the button. Cole walks into a straight right hand from Murphy. Murphy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cole's hands. Murphy scores with a nice strike. Cole takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Murphy lands a nice shot to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Murphy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Murphy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
