Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roc Le Phat (ranked 2297 p4p, 277 weight class) and Riley Pierce (ranked 2053 p4p, 253 weight class). Le Phat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bonita Applebum. Pierce has chosen The Thunder Rolls as his entrance music. Roc Le Phat has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roc Le Phat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Riley Pierce! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierce has managed to clinch.
Pierce has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Le Phat is trying to keep an underhook but Pierce manages to get the takedown into half guard. Pierce is trying to control the action in half guard but Le Phat is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pierce thows a huge punch but Le Phat dodges it nicely.

Le Phat keeping full guard, as Pierce tries to pass. Le Phat controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le Phat can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pierce controls the pace. Pierce pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Le Phat is keeping the position for now. Pierce postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Le Phat is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pierce, into his guard.
Pierce isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Le Phat stacks Pierce on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Le Phat! Pierce is trying to work for a sweep but Le Phat has mounted him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le Phat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pierce slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. We've been hearing that Le Phat has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Le Phat is taking a breather. Pierce says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Pierce tries to roll over but Le Phat keeps him under control. The fighters are battling for position here. Pierce manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pierce tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pierce has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Le Phat is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pierce.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierce is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierce is trying to work for a sweep but Le Phat has mounted him! Pierce is working to get back to half guard.

Pierce tries to lock up and control but Le Phat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pierce looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Pierce rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That was a close round but I would say that Roc Le Phat will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pierce looks to score with a jab to the body but Le Phat is just out of range. Le Phat is looking for a counter combo. Pierce misses with a hook. As Pierce looks to move away, Le Phat throws a big counter combo but Pierce just gets out of the way. Le Phat uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pierce. It looked like Le Phat was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Le Phat slips a jab from Pierce. Le Phat is looking for a counter combo. Pierce fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Le Phat looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pierce throws a lazy uppercut
and Le Phat counters with a left and a right that stings Pierce. Pierce looks to land a left hand but Le Phat moved out of range nicely. Le Phat takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice defenses there by Le Phat. Pierce pushes Le Phat up against the cage in a clinch. Le Phat blocking some punches.
Pierce turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pierce has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pierce is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Le Phat has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Le Phat! Pierce can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Le Phat controls the pace. Pierce not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pierce is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pierce trying to control but Le Phat postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pierce misses with a wild body shot. Pierce darts in and clinches Le Phat up against the cage. Le Phat blocking some punches.

Riley Pierce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

and Le Phat counters with a left and a right that stings Pierce. Pierce misses with an uppercut. As Pierce looks to move away, Le Phat throws a big counter combo but Pierce just gets out of the way. Le Phat avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Le Phat is looking for a counter combo. Pierce rushes Le Phat and presses him up against the cage. Pierce tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Le Phat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pierce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Le Phat stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Pierce takes the fight into the clinch. Pierce misses with the head strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pierce tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Le Phat prevents a body shot from Pierce. Le Phat manages to break the clinch.
Pierce rushes Le Phat and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pierce stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Pierce has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pierce goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Le Phat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pierce clinches up against the cage. Le Phat blocks a body shot from Pierce. Pierce doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Pierce can't find room to land a body shot as Le Phat controls the action.

Le Phat is trying to force a seperation but Pierce has the dominant position. Pierce drags the fight down to the ground.
Le Phat sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pierce is trying to keep Le Phat in close.
Le Phat looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pierce wants to hit a sweep here but Le Phat passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pierce there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierce tries to reverse the position but Le Phat maintains control. Pierce is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pierce looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Le Phat biding his time, controlling Pierce. I really don't envy Pierce right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierce is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Pierce needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Le Phat has the hooks in. Pierce is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. I would not like to be Pierce right now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pierce rolls, trying to escape but Le Phat keeps control of the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roc Le Phat. I think Le Phat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Roc Le Phat! Roc Le Phat tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. The defeated Riley Pierce had this to say: 'Ya know, I just felt bad for the man. I mean, it looked like he needed the win more than I did, so what the hell, charity and all man! You're welcome.'.
