Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenzie Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Sullivin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Torres might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SWC by Murs. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lenzie Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Sullivin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres misses the shot to the body. Torres has a takedown stuffed. Torres is looking to clinch. Torres shoots in for a double leg but Sullivin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Torres tries for a takedown but Sullivin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenzie Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him. Torres throws a right hand that Sullivin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sullivin also avoids with ease. Sullivin with a lazy takedown attempt and Torres counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Torres gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sullivin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sullivin. Sullivin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Torres is keeping the position for now. Torres looking for a sweep. Not yet Torres, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivin trying to control the position from guard on top but Torres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sullivin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Torres looking for a sweep. Not yet Torres, not yet. Sullivin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sullivin advances to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Torres manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Torres is breathing heavily. Torres had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sullivin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Torres Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sullivin's back instead. Torres will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sullivin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres stopping the sweep attempt from Sullivin. Sullivin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Torres trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sullivin trying to strike off his back.
Torres advances position into side control! Sullivin tries to bench press Torres off him but Torres keeps the position. Sullivin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Torres's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres wants to stand but Sullivin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Torres wants to pass the guard but Sullivin is defending well. Sullivin is positioning himself well to prevent Torres advancing to mount. Sullivin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sullivin looking for submissions off his back. Torres knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sullivin on the ground. Torres stands up out of the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Torres shoots and misses so Sullivin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Torres is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sullivin scoring with punches to the head and body. Sullivin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sullivin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sullivin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sullivin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Sullivin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Torres misses with a takedown and Sullivin moves into the clinch. Sullivin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sullivin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Torres gets the underhooks and prevents it.

It looks like Richard Sullivin has been cut. Sullivin crunches a lovely knee into Torres's ribcage. Torres with a knee to the head.
Sullivin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sullivin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sullivin fails with a takedown attempt. Torres moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres lands with a kick to the temple. Sullivin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Torres tries to clinch but Sullivin moves out of range. Torres closes the distance but Sullivin moves to the side and Sullivin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Torres won't be happy with that. Sullivin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sullivin takes a little break here. Torres wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Torres is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivin throws a strike aimed at the side of Torres's head but Torres avoids it well. Torres struggling a bit here. Torres manages to get back to half guard. Sullivin is pressing down on Torres's thigh, looking to free his foot. Torres is holding on for now. Sullivin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Torres on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sullivin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Torres reverses the position - he's now on top in Sullivin's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sullivin is on top in guard.
Torres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Torres bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sullivin's guard. Torres with a flurry of punches that miss. Sullivin working a defensive guard here.
Sullivin pushes Torres off and gets back to his feet.
Sullivin keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres tries to land a body kick and Sullivin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Torres won't be happy with that. Torres is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Sullivin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sullivin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Torres, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Sullivin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Richard Sullivin's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Sullivin decides to stand back up. Sullivin steps back and let's Torres get back to his feet. Sullivin has Torres up against the cage in a clinch.

Sullivin shoots in for a takedown but Torres shows good takedown defense. Lenzie Torres is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A right-left combo lands from Torres.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A nice leg kick lands there from Torres. Nice takedown defense from Torres. No joy for Sullivin on that attempt. Torres tries for a takedown but Sullivin circles away easily and Sullivin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Torres is looking for a triangle but Sullivin pushes his legs off easily.
Sullivin works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres is trying to stand.
Sullivin seems to be looking for submissions.
Torres moves into full guard.
Sullivin stops Torres from standing up. Sullivin stands up from Torres's guard - Sullivin perhaps looking for a knockout. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Torres.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivin closes the distance and pushes Torres back into the cage. Sullivin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Torres lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Sullivin is trying to break the clinch but Torres has him pressed against the cage. Torres lands a knee to the body.
Torres creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sullivin's defenses. Torres pulls guard successfully.

He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Sullivin frees his head nicely. Oh but Torres has switched to an armbar! Sullivin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
