Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Wisse (ranked 7911 p4p, 700 weight class) and Ryan Bateman (ranked 5032 p4p, 539 weight class). Bateman has chosen Critical Mass as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Wisse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Bateman!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wisse counters with a two punch combo.
Wisse drives through and clinches with Bateman against the cage.
Bateman prevents Wisse from breaking the clinch.
Bateman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bateman manages to end up in side control.
Bateman lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bateman landing strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bateman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bateman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Bateman lands a strong strike to the head of Wisse. That's dazed him! Bateman looking to finish here. Wisse is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Bateman lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Bateman!
In his post fight interview, Ryan Bateman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
