Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stanley (ranked 25750 p4p, 739 weight class) and Billy Robbins (ranked 25118 p4p, 758 weight class). Billy Robbins will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Robbins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robbins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Robbins lands in his opponent's guard.
Stanley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Stanley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Robbins, who protects the arm well.

Stanley cracks Robbins with a big right hand but Robbins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Stanley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Robbins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Robbins takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
You can see the frustration on Robbins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Stanley is trying to get an arm triangle but Robbins is defending well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

so Stanley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Robbins is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stanley dives into side control.

Stanley wants to finish this one by submission but Robbins is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stanley.
