Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig De Swardt (ranked 3545 p4p, 0 weight class) and GaL LeeYun (ranked 5498 p4p, 0 weight class). Craig De Swardt looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Craig De Swardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, GaL LeeYun!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Swardt goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
De Swardt looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
De Swardt dives in and grabs LeeYun's left leg, looking for a takedown. LeeYun pushes down on De Swardt's head and hops out.

De Swardt is looking to stand back up but LeeYun counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by De Swardt.

LeeYun tries to stand and escape but De Swardt is controlling the position.

LeeYun is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LeeYun seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LeeYun perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

LeeYun working over De Swardt with some ground and pound. De Swardt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
LeeYun takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
LeeYun landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

LeeYun uses his free foot to push down on De Swardt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Swardt.

De Swardt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
It looks like LeeYun might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
LeeYun connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! LeeYun connects with a massive shot to the dome!

LeeYun is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but De Swardt is surviving well by controlling LeeYun's body position as best he can.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

LeeYun decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Come on LeeYun - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
LeeYun scores with a shoulder strike.

LeeYun pulls guard effortlessly.
De Swardt prevents LeeYun from getting back to his feet.
LeeYun wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
LeeYun's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now LeeYun is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
LeeYun postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
De Swardt seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
LeeYun seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

GaL LeeYun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



LeeYun has closed the distance and engaged De Swardt in a clinch.

LeeYun pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

LeeYun drives through with a takedown into guard.
LeeYun stands up over De Swardt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
LeeYun controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
LeeYun cracks De Swardt with a solid left hand.
Oh De Swardt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
LeeYun seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
LeeYun is pushing down on De Swardt's leg trying to pass to half guard. De Swardt is fighting to maintain full guard but LeeYun has managed to sneak the leg through.

De Swardt seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Oooooh, big shot lands for LeeYun! De Swardt is hurt baaadly! LeeYun is firing away with more strikes - De Swardt is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
