Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Christie (ranked 3935 p4p, 196 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 4111 p4p, 201 weight class). Christie comes to the cage accompanied by Blood On My Hands. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Isaac Christie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechlan Tomsett! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomsett misses with a few strikes there.
Tomsett throws a leg kick so Christie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Christie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Christie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tomsett keeping moving, preventing Christie from controlling successfully. Tomsett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Christie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Christie won't allow Tomsett to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christie stands and throws Tomsett's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tomsett is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christie working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Christie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tomsett knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Christie tries to move to mount but Tomsett blocks the move with his legs. Tomsett manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tomsett missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Christie is trying to get back to full guard. Christie trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tomsett decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Tomsett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Christie. Tomsett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. No joy there for Tomsett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tomsett lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Christie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Christie trying to control but Tomsett is working from the bottom. Tomsett working for a triangle but Christie defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomsett wants to stand and escape but Christie is having none of it. Tomsett preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tomsett utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Christie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Christie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Tomsett lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Christie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Christie stays in close to Tomsett's body and controls the position. Tomsett utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tomsett kicks Christie off and gets to his feet. Christie fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tomsett to the ground. Christie is now in Tomsett's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Christie prevents Tomsett from getting back to his feet. Tomsett keeping moving, preventing Christie from controlling successfully. Christie with a nice head shot there. Christie landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomsett throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Christie escapes and throws Tomsett's legs to the side, diving into side control! Tomsett prevents Christie from improving position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dechlan Tomsett will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Christie shoots in but no luck this time. Tomsett lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tomsett throws a right and a left that both miss. Christie dives in and grabs Tomsett's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tomsett pushes down on Christie's head and hops out. Christie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tomsett defends well and Christie ends up having to push Tomsett into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaac Christie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Christie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are working up against the cage. Tomsett manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tomsett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Christie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Tomsett drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tomsett is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Christie is defending well. Tomsett gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Christie.
Christie has hold of one of Tomsett's legs. Tomsett is fighting the takedown attempt but Christie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Tomsett wants to get back to his feet but Christie is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tomsett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Christie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tomsett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tomsett is looking to stand up but Christie isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christie controlling from the top position. Christie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Isaac Christie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Christie wants to pass the guard but Tomsett is keeping the position. Tomsett is looking to stand up but Christie isn't so interested in that idea. Christie trying to control the position from guard on top but Tomsett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomsett keeping full guard, as Christie tries to pass. Christie throwing strikes but missing. Tomsett wants to stand and escape but Christie is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tomsett working for a triangle but Christie defends it easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Christie shoots in but no luck this time. Nice takedown defense from Tomsett. No joy for Christie on that attempt. Tomsett throws a right hand that Christie ducks under and follows up with a left that Christie also avoids with ease. Tomsett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tomsett wants it to stay on the feet. Christie shoots in looking for a takedown. Tomsett tries to sprawl out of it but Christie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tomsett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christie with a poor takedown and Tomsett counters with a nice uppercut. Tomsett moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sloppy strikes from Tomsett. Those never looked like landing. Tomsett misses with a low kick.
A combination from Tomsett does no damage. Christie feinted with a counter takedown. Christie fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Christie fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dechlan Tomsett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Tomsett throws a right and a left that Christie avoids nicely. Christie closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tomsett quickly recovers to half guard. Christie is looking to take a break and control but Tomsett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Christie stops Tomsett from getting back to his feet.

Tomsett scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Christie manages to mount him!

That's one minute gone in the round. Christie sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Tomsett wants to try and get back to his feet. Christie tries to control but Tomsett wriggling away. Tomsett is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Christie controlling the position easily from mount. Tomsett is squirming around, avoiding Christie's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Christie controlling his opponent. Christie punching from mount but Tomsett doing a good job of avoiding damage. Christie looking to finish with strikes here!
Christie controlling from the full mount. Dechlan Tomsett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Christie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Christie is stalling here but it's allowed Tomsett to get half guard.

Christie lands strikes from half guard. Tomsett won't allow Christie to pass to mount. Christie trying to advance position but Tomsett counters by regaining guard. Christie wants to control from the top but Tomsett keeps moving. Christie postures up in Tomsett's guard and throws a big left but Tomsett blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Christie prevents Tomsett from getting back to his feet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Christie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tomsett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tomsett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Isaac Christie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tomsett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Christie has time to react. Tomsett lands with a nice combination. Christie backs away looking to recover. Tomsett cracks Christie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Christie fails to land the takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Christie shoots for a takedown but Tomsett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tomsett is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Christie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tomsett.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Isaac Christie. I think Tomsett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
