Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ric Devaro (ranked 5471 p4p, 529 weight class) and Bibiano Salvador (ranked 5408 p4p, 521 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ric Devaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bibiano Salvador! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvador throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Devaro could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A combination from Devaro does no damage. Salvador drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Devaro defends it well. Devaro drives through with a takedown into guard. Devaro trying to control but Salvador is working from the bottom. Salvador throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Devaro trying to stand up but can't free himself from Salvador's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Devaro looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Salvador working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Devaro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Devaro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Devaro wants to stand but Salvador is controlling his posture from full guard. Devaro tries to free his leg and advance position but Salvador is retaining full guard.

Salvador is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Salvador looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Devaro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Salvador is proving hard to escape from. Salvador manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Devaro manages to get himself to full guard.
Salvador controls from within his opponent's guard. Salvador trying to control but Devaro is working from the bottom. Devaro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salvador doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salvador trying to control but Devaro is working from the bottom. Salvador drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Devaro dives on top into guard. Salvador trying to control the position.
Devaro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Devaro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salvador swivels though and keeps the full guard. Salvador working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Devaro. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salvador not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvador pulls Devaro in close to prevent any damage. Devaro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Salvador is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Salvador is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Devaro is aware though and is defending well. Salvador controls Devaro momentarily but Devaro frees himself. Devaro trying to stand up but can't free himself from Salvador's guard. Devaro postures up.
Devaro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salvador on the ground. Devaro with a flurry of punches that miss. Devaro trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Devaro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Salvador is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Salvador is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Devaro has his hands clasped together but Salvador extends and breaks Devaro's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Salvador.
