The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnelly scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Swift doesn't seem bothered though.
Donnelly bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Donnelly feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Swifts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Donnelly tries to clinch up but Swift circles away and keeps his distance.

Donnelly is looking to stand up but Swift isn't so interested in that idea.

Donnelly is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Swift is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Swift is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Swift should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Swift is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Donnelly can't fight it off and eventually Swift manages to take the fight to the floor. Donnelly looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Donnelly throws his legs up looking for a submission but Swift uses it to pass to side control.
The referee asks Swift politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Swift prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Donnelly is trying to control Swift's posture but Swift avoids it.
Swift is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Donnelly will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
