Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmie Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Joe! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Joe fails to land the takedown. Ryan blocks a head kick by Joe.

Ryan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Joe is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Joe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryan's calf. Ryan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Joe tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe has a takedown stuffed. Joe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jimmie Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Joe. Joe fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ryan to the ground. Joe is now in Ryan's guard. Joe being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ryan shoots in and bounces Joe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ryan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ryan preventing the sweep. Joe wants to stand up but Ryan is controlling him. Ryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Joe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryan working some strikes from top position. Ryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Joe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Joe is retaining full guard. Ryan looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ryan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ryan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Joe has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ryan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Joe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Joe with a poor takedown and Ryan counters by moving into the clinch. Joe prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ryan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ryan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ryan looking for a takedown. Joe connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ryan's face.

A close round but Joe Joe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A right-left combo lands from Ryan. Joe forces Ryan back against the cage and clinches. Joe misses with an elbow over the top. Ryan is looking to take this one to the mat. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ryan pressing his opponent against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Joe.
Joe is trying to pull guard but Ryan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe struggles to land a body shot inside as Ryan controls his hands.
Ryan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan tries for a takedown but Joe manages to get underhooks.
Joe trying to control the position but instead, Ryan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Joe into the cage. Ryan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Joe fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ryan is trying to drag Joe to the mat but Joe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmie Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryan pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan wants to sweep but no luck. Joe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Joe trying to control but Ryan is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe wants to stand and escape but instead Ryan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ryan trying to control but Joe is working from the bottom. Joe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ryan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Joe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ryan is one step ahead there. Joe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ryan stands up from Joe's guard - Ryan perhaps looking for a knockout. Ryan shoots in and drives through. Joe sprawls well. Ryan instigates a clinch. Joe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ryan pulls his leg out and moves away.

Joe is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ryan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Joe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Joe attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Joe Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ryan swats away the attempt to clinch by Joe. Ryan half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Joe has managed to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jimmie Ryan will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Joe Joe seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Ryan blocks a body shot from Joe. Ryan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joe regains guard immediately. Ryan controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe keeping moving, preventing Ryan from controlling successfully. Ryan looking to sit in guard and control but Joe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ryan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Ryan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ryan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ryan is looking to work some ground and pound but Joe has wrist control. Ryan throwing strikes from guard but Joe blocks nicely.

Ryan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ryan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Joe swings wildly with an uppercut but Ryan uses good head movement to avoid it. Joe taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Joe has had enough of the clinch but Ryan keeps him there for the moment. Joe scores with a shot to the side of Ryan's head. Ryan tries to break the clinch but Joe is controlling the position. Joe taking a breather. Joe lands an elbow inside. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Joe missing with knees to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Joe Joe. I think Joe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
