Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Riley Knox (ranked 3220 p4p, 4290 weight class) and Melchizedek Halo (ranked 401 p4p, 492 weight class). Knox comes into the arena with Roy Jones Jr - I Smoke, I Drink feat. Mr. Magic & Youngbloodz) blaring out of the sound system. Riley Knox had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riley Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Melchizedek Halo! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halo connects with a right hand. Knox shakes it off. Knox is looking to clinch but Halo is avoiding it.
Halo punishes Knox's body with a nice straight punch. Halo misses with a wild combination.
Halo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Halo slips under a jab from Knox. Halo misses with a body shot.
Halo connects with a solid leg kick. Halo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knox. Knox avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knox throws a low kick but Halo moves out of range easily. Knox uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Halo. Halo with a jab. Halo digs a good body shot into Knox's ribs. Knox stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Halo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Halo throws a right and a left that Knox avoids nicely. Knox takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Halo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Halo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Knox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Knox swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Halo closes the distance looking to clinch and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Knox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Halo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Knox misses with a jab, cross combination.
Halo lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Halo lands a jab to Knox's midsection. Halo works the jab nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Halo slips a straight right by Knox.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knox throws a head kick that misses. Halo tries to clinch but Knox moves out of range. We've been informed that Halo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Knox closes the distance and clinches. Knox stalling in the clinch but Halo improves position. Halo avoiding damage as Knox throws knees to the body.
Halo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Halo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Halo motions for Knox to come forward. Halo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Knox moves out of range of the strikes. Knox looks to land a left hand but Halo moved out of range nicely. Halo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Halo scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A head kick misses from Knox. Halo jabs Knox right on the nose. Knox blinks but takes it well. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Halo swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Melchizedek Halo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Knox works the jab nicely. Halo throws a head kick but Knox moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Halo misses the target. Melchizedek Halo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Halo lands a nice shot to the body.
Knox is looking to clinch. Halo throws out a counter right but Knox avoids it with no problem. Halo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Knox feints and then cracks Halo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Halo down. Halo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Knox fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Halo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knox will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Knox takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Knox tries to keep at a distance but Halo has taken the fight into the clinch. Halo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halo throws a punch but it's blocked by Knox. Halo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Knox struggles to land a body shot inside as Halo controls his hands.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Knox as Halo tries to tie him up. Knox misses with a hook from the clinch. Halo misses with the head strike.
Halo working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Knox swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Halo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Knox is keeping busy. Halo looking to slow down the pace here. A short uppercut from Knox. Halo manages to break the clinch.
Knox waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Halo. Knox ducks under a wild hook from Halo. Knox is looking to counter punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halo just misses with a punch to the body.
Knox moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Halo throws a lazy right hand but Knox sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Halo misses with a lunging right hand
and Knox counters with a stiff right hand. Halo lands a right hook to the body.
Halo missing with a left hand there. Knox was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knox's corner calls for a 1-2. Knox obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Halo drives through and clinches with Knox against the ropes.

Halo is trying to maintain a safe position but Knox gets an underhook and turns Halo into the ropes. Knox tries to land knees in the clinch but Halo avoids the damage to the body. Halo scores with a nice hook to the head. Halo blocking some punches.
Knox lands a right hand that snaps the head of Halo backwards. Knox with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Melchizedek Halo will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Knox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Riley Knox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Halo throws a quick inside leg kick. Knox looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Knox doesn't manage to clinch there - Halo circles away.
Halo misses with a hook. Knox ducked under it nicely. Knox connects with a solid leg kick. Knox scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Halo beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout. A left lands for Halo. This has been an exciting period of action! Halo misses with a lunging right hand
and Knox counters with a perfect left hook, dropping Halo to the canvas. He tries to get back up quickly but his equilibrium is all over the place! He's up... he's back down again! There's no need for a count as the referee calls off the bout!

A victorious Riley Knox thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter. Melchizedek Halo spoke after the fight, saying 'The game plan was wrong. We will re-watch the tape and figure out where we went wrong. '.
