Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Coutier (ranked 4682 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Alcortuno (ranked 4041 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcortuno looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Coutier misses with a double jab
and Alcortuno counters with a stiff right hand.
Coutier throws a chopping leg kick but Alcortuno manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Coutier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Coutier.
Coutier misses with the combination.
Alcortuno doesn't manage to clinch there - Coutier circles away.
Coutier throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alcortuno moves forwards but Coutier connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Coutier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alcortuno counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alcortuno.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coutier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Coutier throws a lazy right hand but Alcortuno sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As Coutier backs off Alcortuno throws a huge counter combo but Coutier manages to avoid it all.
Coutier pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Alcortuno drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Coutier defends it well.
Alcortuno looks for a takedown but Coutier sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Coutier throws a low kick but Alcortuno moves out of range easily.
And Alcortuno tries to counter it with a takedown but Coutier pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Coutier misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alcortuno closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Jacques Coutier has been cut.
Coutier fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Coutier misses with the combination.
Coutier fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alcortuno.
Alcortuno throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coutier tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alcortuno is in Coutier's guard.

Alcortuno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Coutier's guard.
Coutier knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alcortuno on the ground.
Coutier wants to get back to full guard but Alcortuno has passed into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alcortuno is working to tighten his grip on Coutier's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Coutier has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alcortuno is really squeezing tight and eventually Coutier passes out! Alcortuno breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
