Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Bryan Hammer has been cut.
Hammer misses with a takedown
and Daniels counters with a nice uppercut.
Daniels lands with a nice combination. Hammer backs away looking to recover.
Hammer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Daniels counters with a nice uppercut.
Hammer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Daniels scores with a hook to the body. Hammer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Daniels comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Daniels makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chris Daniels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Hammer.

Hammer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daniels to the mat! Daniels manages to get full guard.
Hammer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Hammer is looking to work some ground and pound but Daniels has wrist control.

Hammer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Hammer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Daniels lands with a straight right. Hammer didn't see that one coming.

Chris Daniels is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hammer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hammer there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hammer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Daniels.
Daniels catches Hammer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Daniels fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Daniels tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range.
Daniels lands with an uppercut that bounces Hammer off the cage and back into range.
A jab from Daniels does it's job there.
Chris Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The cut above Bryan Hammer's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Hammer drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hammer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hammer distracts Daniels with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hammer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Daniels's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A looping hook to the body misses from Hammer. Daniels does a little dance to reset his feet.

Daniels uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Daniels takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hammer looks for a takedown but Daniels sprawls well.

Hammer shoots for a double leg takedown but Daniels sprawls well. He's pushed Hammer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A jab from Daniels finds it's way through Hammer's defenses.


Bryan Hammer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Nice uppercut there from Daniels.
Hammer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daniels tries to avoid it but Hammer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daniels to the ground. Daniels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Daniels is looking to counter punch.

and Hammer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daniels won't be happy with that.
Hammer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

You can see the frustration on Daniels's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Daniels seems a little lost for a moment, as Hammer dominates the positioning.
Hammer passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Daniels!

Daniels is in all sorts of trouble here.
Daniels is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hammer can do to turn this around?
Hammer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bryan Hammer has got the better of the ground game so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Hammer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Daniels is looking for a sweep. Hammer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Daniels on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Daniels tries to get out of the position.

Chris Daniels is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hammer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniels gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Bryan Hammer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Daniels has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
