Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DJ Cannonier (ranked 3923 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ieuan Thomas (ranked 7238 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, DJ Cannonier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ieuan Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas dodges the punch combination from Cannonier.
Cannonier scores with a jab to the jaw.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cannonier.
Cannonier shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thomas! But no joy.
Cannonier fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thomas, pushing him back against the cage.
Thomas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cannonier is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cannonier tries to pull guard but Thomas won't allow it.
Cannonier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cannonier misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch but Cannonier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Cannonier was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cannonier as he jumps to the side.

DJ Cannonier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ieuan Thomas.

Cannonier gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas tries to score a body lock takedown but Cannonier shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Cannonier has his foot on Thomas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thomas works his way back into a safe position though.

Thomas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cannonier throws a strike but Thomas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cannonier has picked Thomas up - he's going for a ride! Cannonier dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Thomas has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cannonier is on him like a limpet, forcing Thomas back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that DJ Cannonier will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cannonier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
