Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between JimBob Walton (ranked 5195 p4p, 392 weight class) and Ted Teddy (ranked 4791 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, JimBob Walton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ted Teddy!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teddy shoots in and gets a takedown into Walton's guard.
Teddy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walton's guard.
Teddy is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teddy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Walton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Walton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Teddy is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teddy pulls Walton in to control the position.
Walton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Teddy looking for a guillotine here but Walton defends easily.
Walton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Walton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Teddy for as long as he can get away with.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Teddy is on top in guard.

Walton can't keep his opponent in guard - Teddy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Walton tries to roll over but Teddy keeps him under control.

Teddy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Teddy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Walton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teddy is working away from the top position though.

Walton wants to control but Teddy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Teddy passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Walton!

Walton is trying desperately to improve position.

Teddy landing strikes from the mount and Walton is in trouble!
Walton sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Walton landing small, sideways elbows.

Walton is trying to stand back up but Teddy is controlling him

Teddy wants to pass to mount but Walton is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy drives through with a takedown into guard.
Teddy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Teddy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Walton is trying to control the position but Teddy postures up.

Teddy pulls Walton in to control the position.
Walton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Teddy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Walton shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Teddy is trying to defend but Walton finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Walton tries to pass the half guard into mount. Teddy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Teddy wants to get back to his feet.

Walton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Walton wants to pass the guard but Teddy is defending well.
Teddy lands with a few short shots to the body.

Teddy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Walton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Walton's back!

Walton is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Teddy.

Teddy is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Walton is defending well though. Teddy let's go of the attempt for now.

Teddy seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Walton's chin but Walton turns very nicely into Teddy's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Walton.

Teddy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Teddy trying to keep a closed guard but Walton is proving a slippery customer.
Walton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teddy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that JimBob Walton will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Walton is pulling down on Teddy's head. It's preventing any offense from Teddy, at least for the moment.

Teddy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Walton wants to stand up but Teddy is controlling him.
Teddy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Teddy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Walton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Teddy's guard.

Teddy pulls Walton in to control the position.
Walton trying to control but Teddy is working from the bottom.
Teddy looking to control.
Teddy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walton is one step ahead there.

Walton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Teddy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walton, into his guard.

Teddy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Teddy has managed to get both his arms back between Walton's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Walton is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Teddy won't allow Walton to get back to his feet.

Teddy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Teddy postures up and lands a big shot to Walton's brow.
Teddy wants to pass the guard but Walton is keeping the position.
Teddy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Teddy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walton's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
JimBob Walton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ted Teddy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Walton enables Teddy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ted Teddy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Teddy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
