The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Aztec looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aztec instigates a clinch. Aztec has a couple of punches blocked by Villarreal.
Aztec avoids a wild elbow strike from Villarreal. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Villarreal. Villarreal lands a shoulder strike. Aztec lands a left hand.

Aztec drops Villarreal onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Villarreal is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Aztec throws a big uppercut that drops Villarreal! More strikes from Aztec and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Villarreal lies dazed against the cage as Aztec celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Aztec! Chief Aztec is the new lightweight champion! A relieved looking Chief Aztec thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
