Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Boss drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Cuesta (0) vs (2) Boss Boss drops back looking for a leg! Cuesta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cuesta manages to kick Boss off! Boss jumps back into Cuesta's guard. Boss pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cuesta is keeping the position for now. Cuesta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cuesta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cuesta is looking for a triangle here but Boss uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Boss tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cuesta manages to get back to half guard. Boss controlling the action here. My spies in Kingz MMA - Judo - Sambo - BJJ inform me that Boss has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cuesta wants to control but Boss is keeping busy and won't allow it. Boss controlling the action here. Boss trying to pass the guard but Cuesta defending well.

Cuesta is controlling an arm, preventing Boss from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Boss is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cuesta to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cuesta shrugs it off. Cuesta wants to hold on but Boss pushes him away. Cuesta is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Boss tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cuesta has given up his back. Will we see Boss going for some submissions?

Cuesta is working hard here to advance position. Boss is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Boss is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cuesta knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cuesta for a finish. Cuesta tries to break free.
Boss gets his hands free as Cuesta looks to control. Well, with Boss on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Cuesta is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Boss working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Boss controlling well, preventing Cuesta from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boss really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cuesta. Boss has his arm under Cuesta's chin here. Game over son! Boss squeezes tightly and Cuesta is forced to tap out!
