Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Vito Mazzini (ranked 1669 p4p, 212 weight class) and Kamden Jackson (ranked 1692 p4p, 232 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mazzini might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fade To Black. Jackson has chosen Creed II- Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 10 losses; Vito Mazzini! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 14 losses; Kamden Jackson! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Mazzini closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Mazzini getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Mazzini.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mazzini wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well. Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Mazzini sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson actively working from the bottom here.

Mazzini wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it. Mazzini wants to work for an arm triangle but Jackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mazzini uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mazzini looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.

Mazzini has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Mazzini keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. My spies in Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym inform me that Jackson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Mazzini is keeping the position. Mazzini is looking to sweep but instead, Jackson has passed into half guard.

Mazzini is looking to cinch up a triangle. Jackson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mazzini's body to avoid the submission. Mazzini has instead reached around Jackson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mazzini arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
