Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Test Eight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Test Ten! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Eight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ten looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eight is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ten seems keen to control Eight's posture. Ten can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eight controls the pace. Eight pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ten is keeping the position for now. Eight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Eight's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eight looking to score a takedown here. Ten is defending well but Eight drives through and ends up in Ten's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eight is stalling in the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Test Eight showed his dominance in that final round. Well Eight has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1 round of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision. Judge Andrew Berry scores the fight 10:9 Judge Chris Edwards scores the fight 10:9 Judge James Atkins scores the fight 10:9
In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Test Eight! Test Eight seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
