Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Little (ranked 7905 p4p, 1341 weight class) and Niko Alzate (ranked 287 p4p, 84 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Little! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Niko Alzate! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alzate blocks a head kick by Little.
Alzate manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Little on his heels. He'll look to pass Little's guard now, I'm sure. Alzate engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Alzate drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alzate jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alzate's corner is telling him to maintain position. Alzate works a leg free and moves into half guard. Little is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Alzate is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alzate is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Little defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Little looking for submissions off his back. Alzate wants to pass to mount but Little is defending the position. Little wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alzate is thwarting Little's attempts to control the position. Alzate looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alzate is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Little is just riding it out for now. Alzate eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Alzate is looking for a kimura here.
Little looking for submissions off his back. Alzate frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alzate wants to finish this one by submission but Little is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Alzate. Little is desperately trying to improve his position but Alzate has a good base and remains in mount. Alzate wants to control the pace but Little is squirming around nicely. Alzate is trying to take his opponent's back.
Alzate looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Alzate controlling from the full mount. Alzate has control of Little's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Little regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Alzate can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Little is looking to escape.

Little is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Little wants to escape the position.
Alzate is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Little defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Little is trying to break free.

Niko Alzate dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! A punch combination from Little misses. Alzate avoids the head kick by Little.
Alzate is trying to counter with his kicks. Alzate has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Little throws a head kick that misses. Little feints and then cracks Alzate's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alzate down. Samuel Little has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Little scores with a kick to the midsection. Alzate on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Little misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Little attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Donk. Little catches Alzate right on the button with a cross. Little tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Little backing away here, and Alzate unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Little throws a head kick but Alzate moves out of range.
Little misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alzate closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Little to the mat! Little manages to get full guard. Niko Alzate has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alzate drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alzate jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alzate got a little sloppy there for a moment and Little has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alzate has managed to get both his arms back between Little's legs - danger averted. Alzate engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Alzate looking to sit in guard and control but Little gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alzate is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Little frees his head nicely. Oh but Alzate has switched to an armbar! Little is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Niko Alzate! After the fight, Niko Alzate was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
