Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chaz Campbell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Thomson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Darren Thomson has been cut.
Thomson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Campbell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Thomson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Campbell pinned against the cage. Campbell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thomson is looking to clinch.
Thomson walks straight into a right hand from Campbell - that's dropped him! Campbell jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thomson from any more punishment! Thomson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chaz Campbell!
