The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teliverty connects with a good right hand that stumbles Maia. Maia circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Lucifer Maia has been cut.
Maia shoots for a double leg takedown but Teliverty sprawls well. He's pushed Maia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Maia stands and throws Teliverty's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Maia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Teliverty, who protects the arm well.

Maia is trying to get an arm triangle but Teliverty is defending well.

Maia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
