Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 1766 p4p, 224 weight class) and Ibbe Ribbler (ranked 1339 p4p, 35 weight class). Bone's entrance music is You'll Never Walk Alone. A fine choice. Ribbler has chosen Bad Religion - Infected as his entrance music. Ibbe Ribbler acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 8 losses; Joe Bone! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 3 losses; Ibbe Ribbler! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Bone drives through with a takedown into Ribbler's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bone is desperately trying to improve his position but Ribbler has a good base and remains in mount. Bone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! That's four minutes gone in the round. Bone works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bone controlling the action here. Bone is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ribbler! Score +3 for passing guard: Bone (7) vs (7) Ribbler Bone trying to control but Ribbler is having none of it. Bone wants to take Ribbler's back here but Ribbler is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Ribbler has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Ribbler sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ribbler keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Bone is looking to take a break and control but Ribbler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Ribbler tries to roll over but Bone keeps him under control. Ribbler is not content to let Bone control the position. Ribbler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bone is working away from the top position though. Ribbler is not content to let Bone control the position. Bone is looking to advance position but Ribbler won't allow it.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bone is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Bone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ribbler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bone sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bone trying to control but Ribbler is working from the bottom.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Ribbler pulls Bone in close to his closed guard and prevents Bone from doing any damage or advancing position. Bone trying to control the position from guard on top but Ribbler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bone looking to pass the guard. Bone wants to control from the top but Ribbler keeps moving. Bone is really struggling to control Ribbler but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ribbler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bone trying to control but Ribbler is working from the bottom. Bone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ribbler is keeping the position for now.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Bone is fighting to break Ribbler's control of his arms but Ribbler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bone controls from within his opponent's guard. Bone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bone content to stall in guard here. Bone stopping the sweep attempt from Ribbler.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Bone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ribbler is looking to control Bone but Bone is wriggling around and keeping busy. Bone tries to escape but Ribbler has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone trying to control the action but Ribbler just sinks the hooks in. Bone is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Ribbler slows the pace down. Bone can't do much from the bottom here. Bone is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bone with the active half guard here but Ribbler passes nicely into side control.
