Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Vidich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazuo Taoka! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vidich keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Taoka throws a looping overhand right but Vidich ducks down to avoid it. Vidich slips under a jab. Nice sprawl there from Taoka as Vidich shoots in. Taoka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vidich moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vidich feints and as Taoka raises his hands in defense, Vidich changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Taoka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vidich. Vidich avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Vidich has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Taoka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vidich trying to control but Taoka postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taoka decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Taoka dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Taoka cracks a nice hook into Vidich's ribs. Vidich is breathing heavily. Taoka cracks a nice hook into Vidich's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taoka lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Vidich falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
