The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alatalo misses with a hook.
Alatalo lands a head kick. Samsonov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Samsonov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Mikko Alatalo has been cut.
Samsonov throws a body punch but Alatalo moves out of range.
Samsonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Alatalo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Samsonov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Alatalo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Alatalo, right into the meat.

and Samsonov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Samsonov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Alatalo misses with an uppercut
and Samsonov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Samsonov ducks under a wild hook from Alatalo.
Donk. Alatalo catches Samsonov right on the button with a cross.
Alatalo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Samsonov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alatalo throws a right hand that misses
enabling Samsonov to counter with a crisp jab.
Samsonov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Alatalo.
Alatalo cracks Samsonov with a good jab.
Mikko Alatalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Samsonov throws a body shot but no joy.
Alatalo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Samsonov counters with a nice right hand that sends Alatalo toppling to the canvas! Alatalo scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Samsonov finish him?!
