And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Philo Beddo! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Beddo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Feltre (0) vs (2) Beddo Feltre won't allow Beddo to pass to mount. Feltre is trying to maintain the position but Beddo is very close to passing his half guard. Feltre is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Beddo trying to control from half guard but Feltre is working away. Beddo is looking for a kimura here.
Beddo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are battling for position here. Feltre manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Beddo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Feltre swivels though and keeps the full guard. Feltre is trying to keep Beddo in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beddo trying to control but Feltre is working from the bottom. Feltre has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Beddo doesn't defend quickly enough and Feltre has managed to lock this one up! Can Beddo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Feltre on a fantastic submission victory.

Felipe Feltre decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
