Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between George Arias (ranked 2074 p4p, 276 weight class) and Chris Fda (ranked 3307 p4p, 409 weight class). Fda has chosen Hate Me Now as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 10 losses; George Arias! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Chris Fda! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Arias looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fda! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Arias (4) vs (0) Fda Fda prevents Arias from improving position. Arias trying to control the position but Fda is working away. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Fda tries to get back to half guard but can't. Arias is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fda has escaped the position, nice work there. Fda tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Arias wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fda regains half guard. Fda wants to improve his position but Arias is controlling well.

Arias wants to take a breather but Fda is having none of it. Arias is thwarting Fda's attempts to control the position. Fda looking for submissions off his back. Arias passes to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Arias (7) vs (0) Fda Arias looking to control but Fda is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Arias has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fda is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Arias tries to get the hooks in deep but Fda pushed the leg off. Fda turns into Arias and is now in his guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Arias (10) vs (2) Fda Fda forces his way into half guard. Fda is thwarting Arias's attempts to control the position. Fda tries to pass the half guard into mount. Arias knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Fda is trying to work for a kimura but Arias is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fda trying to control but Arias is working from the bottom. Arias trying to keep a closed guard but Fda is proving a slippery customer.
Fda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Arias is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. That's four minutes gone in the round. Arias jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fda is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fda and Arias has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Arias is looking to take a break and control but Fda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fda stops Arias from passing to mount. Fda is trying to control Arias's posture but Arias avoids it. Arias in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Fda is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
