The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes leaves Gale with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gale tries to clinch but Barnes moves away
and Barnes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gale has his takedown stuffed
and Barnes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gale misses with a looping right.
Gale goes for a double leg but Barnes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barnes continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Gale. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gale.
A little jabbing left from Barnes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Gale swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Barnes is now in Gale's guard. A big mistake from Gale there, giving up the dominant position!
Barnes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gale. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Barnes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gale has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Barnes is looking to defend but Gale has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Barnes! Gale pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Barnes taps out and this one is all over!
