This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Potato Squash!
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Cole darts in and clinches Squash up against the cage. Cole turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cole manages to end up in side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Cole (4) vs (0) Squash The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Squash tries to buck Cole off but Cole is having none of it. Cole wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Squash, who protects the arm well. Cole controls the position. Cole could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cole in the domination position with Squash hanging on. Squash sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Squash moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Squash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
