Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Xtremecold (ranked 4596 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Renalds (ranked 4700 p4p, 495 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renalds scores with a kick to the midsection.
Xtremecold fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Xtremecold throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Renalds tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Xtremecold is in Renalds's guard.
Xtremecold wants to pass the guard but Renalds is keeping the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Renalds closes the distance and clinches up with Xtremecold, looking for a takedown. Renalds pushes Xtremecold against the cage but Xtremecold circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Renalds tries to clinch but Xtremecold moves out of range.
Xtremecold is looking for a counter combo.

Xtremecold unloads a knee to the mid-section. Renalds lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Renalds creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Xtremecold has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Renalds is on him like a limpet, forcing Xtremecold back against the cage.

A slapping leg kick lands for Xtremecold.

Renalds throws a sloppy head kick and Xtremecold moves out of range easily.
Renalds shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Xtremecold as he avoids it easily.
Renalds is breathing heavily.
Xtremecold closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Xtremecold shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Xtremecold lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Renalds shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Renalds was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Xtremecold throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Xtremecold rushes Renalds and presses him up against the cage.
Renalds trying to control the position but instead, Xtremecold has worked for underhooks and has pushed Renalds into the cage.

It looks like Casey Renalds has been cut.
Xtremecold dives in for a single leg takedown but Renalds sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Renalds is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Xtremecold with a body shot.
Renalds takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Xtremecold shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Renalds tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Xtremecold swivels and escapes.
Renalds takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Renalds tries to land a front kick but Xtremecold steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Xtremecold looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Renalds has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Xtremecold is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Renalds tries to close the distance and clinch but Xtremecold swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Xtremecold tries to score a power double leg takedown but Renalds sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Xtremecold somewhat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Xtremecold throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Renalds slaps away a takedown attempt from Xtremecold, before circling back to the center of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Xtremecold has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
