Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arron Asham (ranked 33 p4p, 5 weight class) and Chris Steve (ranked 55 p4p, 7 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arron Asham! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Steve! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asham misses with a low kick. Asham doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Asham looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Asham cracks Steve with an open hand slap. A left lands for Asham. Steve ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Steve takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Asham takes a swing at Steve's ribcage but misses. Arron Asham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A leg kick checked by Steve. Steve appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Steve throws a push kick but Asham slaps the foot to one side. Asham checks a low kick from Steve. Asham pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Asham keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Asham avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Steve scores with a jab. Asham looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Steve getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steve misses with a body punch
letting Asham counter with a right hand. Steve ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Asham moves away. Steve throws a lazy uppercut
and Asham counters with a flying knee. Nice. Asham connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steve throws a low kick but Asham moves out of range easily. Asham tries to move into range but Steve moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Steve takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Steve jabbing away but nothing is landing. Steve misses with a straight left. Steve misses with a body shot.
Asham slips under a jab from Steve. Asham is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Steve throws a leg kick but Asham checks it. A lazy body kick from Steve letting Asham counter with a right hand. Steve on the wrong end of a nice hook. Asham swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steve. Asham does a little dance to reset his feet. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Steve - that will leave a mark!
The fighters circle momentarily. Asham darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Asham scores with a hook. Steve throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Asham misses with a body kick. Steve appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Asham bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Steve's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asham has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Asham there as he acknowledges the shot. A cross from Steve lands.
Asham is rocked! Steve knocks out Asham with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Steve before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Steve picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Steve! Chris Steve is the new middleweight champion! Our winner, Chris Steve, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
