2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Lahey! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samuel Duncan dives in for a single leg takedown but Lahey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nice sprawl there from Lahey as Samuel Duncan shoots in. Samuel Duncan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lahey. Samuel Duncan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Samuel Duncan shoots in for a takedown but Lahey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Thomas Samuel Duncan. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Samuel Duncan. Samuel Duncan shoots in and drives through. Lahey sprawls well. Samuel Duncan ducks under a wild hook from Lahey. Samuel Duncan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lahey counters with a stiff right hand. Samuel Duncan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A shot to the liver by Lahey. Beautiful body shot. Samuel Duncan is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samuel Duncan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lahey throws out the jab. Lahey misses with a straight right. Randy Lahey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Lahey finds it's way through Samuel Duncan's defenses.
It looks like Patrick Thomas Samuel Duncan has been cut. Samuel Duncan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lahey defends well and Samuel Duncan ends up having to push Lahey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lahey ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lahey drops Samuel Duncan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Samuel Duncan looks back up at him and smiles so Lahey waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lahey scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Samuel Duncan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lahey. Lahey missing with a left hand there. Samuel Duncan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Samuel Duncan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The fighters circling - Lahey throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Randy Lahey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lahey pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lahey stays standing though and waves Samuel Duncan back to his feet! Lahey misses the jab. Lahey cracks Samuel Duncan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Samuel Duncan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lahey finish him?
Samuel Duncan is rocked! Samuel Duncan walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Lahey! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
