Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Island Fighter (ranked 7851 p4p, 571 weight class) and Tyler Paul (ranked 6208 p4p, 492 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Paul! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter fails with the takedown. Fighter wants to clinch up but Paul keeps it at a distance. Paul looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Paul misses with a body shot.
Fighter moves in looking to clinch but Paul pushes him off. A nice side step and Paul releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Paul lands a nice looking body shot.
Fighter has been working on his balance at Armored Fitness & Sparring, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Paul. Fighter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Paul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paul sprawls well. Paul wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Island Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul scores with a jab to the body. Paul throws a right and a left that both miss. Fighter darts in looking for a takedown but Paul gets double underhooks and turns Fighter into the cage. A countering left hand to the body from Paul misses. Fighter closes the distance and clinches. Fighter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fighter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fighter wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Paul counters with a right hand to the body. Paul stuffs the takedown. Fighter misses with a takedown attempt and Paul counters with a lovely shot to the body. Fighter has his takedown stuffed and Paul counters with a stiff right hand. Fighter thows a leg kick but Paul checks it and Paul cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Island Fighter has been cut. Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown. Paul tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Paul manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fighter tries for a takedown but Paul circles away easily letting Paul counter with a right hand. Paul misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fighter fails with the takedown and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Paul prevents a body shot from Fighter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Fighter - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fighter is looking to break free of the clinch but Paul has double underhooks. Fighter wants to get back to striking at distance but Paul won't allow it.
Come on Paul - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Fighter tries to score a body lock takedown but Paul shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Paul pulls his leg out and moves away.
Paul is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fighter rather than just go for the knockout. Fighter fails with a takedown attempt. Paul throws a counter combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Paul dominated that round. The cut man is working on Island Fighter's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Paul throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fighter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Paul stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Paul wants it to stay on the feet. Island Fighter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fighter misses with a double jab
and Paul counters with a left to the body. Fighter misses with a wild body shot. Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Paul as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paul stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Island Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Paul paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fighter misses with a takedown attempt and Paul counters with a stiff right hand. Fighter misses with a takedown attempt letting Paul counter with a right hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul cracks Fighter with an open hand slap. Paul circles away from the clinch attempt.

Paul throws a leg kick that misses. Tyler Paul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fighter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paul tries to avoid it but Fighter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paul to the ground. Paul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fighter closes the distance looking to clinch and Paul counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter tries to clinch up. Fighter throws a head kick that misses and Paul counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fighter is looking to clinch. Fighter with a poor takedown and Paul counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fighter is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Paul weaves into range and cracks Fighter right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Fighter goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Paul is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tyler Paul!
