The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Besic scores with a nice strike.
Mendez tries to clinch up.
Mendez throws a jab but it's blocked by Besic.
Besic moves out of range of the body kick.
Besic went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Besic loads up on a big right hand but Mendez slips the punch.
Besic rushes Mendez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Besic is stalling here.
Besic scores with a nice hook to the head.
Besic lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mendez backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Besic doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Besic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mendez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mendez throws a hook but Besic blocks it.
Besic is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Miralem Besic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mendez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mendez takes a swing at Besic's ribcage but misses.
Mendez throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Besic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mendez is rocked!
Besic drops Mendez with a huge uppercut! Mendez drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Besic is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
