The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weeks jabs at Guy's body.
Weeks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Guy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Weeks throws a punch but it's blocked by Guy.

Weeks is trying to break the clinch but Guy has him pressed against the cage.

Weeks swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Guy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Guy struggles to land a body shot inside as Weeks controls his hands.

Guy has Weeks pressed against the cage, preventing Weeks from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Guy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Weeks's efforts to push away.
Weeks swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Guy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Guy has a couple of punches blocked by Weeks.
Guy misses with a hook from the clinch.

Weeks struggles to land a body shot inside as Guy controls his hands.

Weeks manages to break the clinch.
Guy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Guy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Weeks ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Weeks scores with a jab to the jaw.
Guy tries to close the distance and clinch but Weeks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Weeks throws a shot from downtown. Guy moves away and avoids it.
As Weeks looks to move away, Guy throws a big counter combo but Weeks just gets out of the way.
Weeks throws an off balance right hand
and Guy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Weeks lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weeks jabs Guy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Weeks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Weeks throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Guy on the side of the head.

Weeks throws a shot from downtown. Guy moves away and avoids it.
Weeks misses the shot to the body.

Weeks scores with a sloppy right hand. Guy should have avoided that one.


Guy is rocked!
BOOM! Weeks lands a beautiful left hook that drops Guy. Guy tries to recover but Weeks is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Guy lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willie Weeks!
Willie Weeks gave a mention to Brooklyn Apothecary in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
