Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Mcleod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Field! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Field tries to sprawl but Mcleod drives through with a takedown into half guard. Field manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mcleod keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Mcleod looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mcleod lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Mcleod slips a nice elbow through Field's hands, connecting with Field's forehead. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcleod is trying to control the action in half guard but Field is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Field tries to kick Mcleod off but Mcleod keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Field is not content to let Mcleod control the position. Mcleod is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Field doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mcleod. Field wants to improve his position but Mcleod is controlling well.
Field really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcleod. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Field is not content to let Mcleod control the position. Field wants to get back to full guard. Mcleod is working for a submission of some sort.
Mcleod is trying to work for a kimura but Field is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Field moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mcleod stops Field from standing up. Mcleod trying to control the position from guard on top but Field is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mcleod throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Field works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Field throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mcleod wants to control from the top but Field keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcleod postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcleod feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Field manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Field throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcleod was covering up waiting for the punch and Field finishes the takedown easily into guard. Field passes into half guard. Mcleod is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Field scores with a couple of nice shots. Field is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Field goes for an armbar but Mcleod turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mcleod. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Field looks winded! Field can't keep his opponent in guard - Mcleod advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mcleod seems to be working for a kimura but Field defends the submission attempt. Mcleod is trying to work for a kimura but Field is defending well.
Field is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Andrew Field will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mcleod rushes Field and presses him up against the cage. Field successfully pulls guard.
Mcleod wants to control from the top but Field keeps moving. Mcleod throwing strikes from guard but Field blocks nicely. Mcleod won't allow Field to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcleod trying to control but Field is working from the bottom. Field has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mcleod off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mcleod drives through and clinches with Field against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcleod misses with a punch on the inside.
Mcleod has picked Field up - he's going for a ride! Mcleod dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Field is looking to improve his position.

Field is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcleod pulls his head out easily. Mcleod works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Field is squirming around, avoiding Mcleod's attempts to control the action. Field is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcleod looking to control but Field is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mcleod thowing shots but they're missing. Field is looking to improve his position but Mcleod isn't that keen on the idea. Mcleod trying to control but Field is having none of it. Field really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Field is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mcleod scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Field?
Field holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mcleod tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Field is trying desperately to improve position. Mcleod throwing strikes here but Field is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mcleod goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Field turns into him and now he's in Mcleod's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Field preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mcleod dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Mcleod fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Field sprawls well initially but Mcleod persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mcleod wants to take a breather but Field is having none of it. Field is looking to improve his position.
Mcleod passes the guard and advances to mount! Mcleod forces the positional change into back control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Field is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Field staying busy and making it hard for Mcleod to control. Mcleod lands an elbow to the side of the head. Mcleod looking for the RNC. Field tries to roll but Mcleod sticks to his back.
Field takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mcleod is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Field is defending well though. Mcleod let's go of the attempt for now. Field is really stuck here.
Field is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Mcleod off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Field is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Mcleod throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Field trying to control the hands but Mcleod breaks the grip. Mcleod is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Field taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Mcleod.
