Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jebediah Springfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Dice!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Springfield throws out a powerful jab.
Dice shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Springfield pinned against the cage. Springfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dice gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Springfield counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dice has his takedown stuffed
and Springfield counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jebediah Springfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Dice.
Dice will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Springfield seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Dice tries for a takedown but Springfield circles away easily
enabling Springfield to counter with a crisp jab.
Dice doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Springfield counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dice looks winded!
Springfield lands a big right hand that sends Dice crashing to the mat! Springfield stays standing though and waves Dice back to his feet!
Dice is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Springfield throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dice on the side of the head.
Dice is still on wobbly legs! Can Springfield finish him?
Dice fails with the takedown
and Springfield counters with a huge left! Dice is in big trouble! He's backing up but Springfield isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Dice from any more damage. A dominating finish by Springfield!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jebediah Springfield!
A relieved looking Jebediah Springfield thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
