1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Micheal Bond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dani Woodward! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bond throws a body kick that misses. Woodward dives in for a single leg takedown but Bond sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Woodward drives through and clinches with Bond against the cage.
Woodward tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Woodward scores with a shot to the side of Bond's head. Woodward throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Bond is looking to break free of the clinch but Woodward has double underhooks. Woodward is working for takedown but Bond is calmly controlling the position for now. Woodward tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bond avoids it. Woodward breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bond looks to land a body kick but Woodward moved away. Woodward pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Woodward avoids the head kick by Bond.
Bond seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Bond feints a jab promting Woodward to slip. Bond then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Woodward slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Bond throws a sloppy head kick and Woodward moves out of range easily. Bond cracks Woodward with a right hand to the side of the head. Bond moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Micheal Bond is winning the standup battle so far. Bond keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bond throws a lazy head kick and Woodward counters with a one-two to the body. Bond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And Woodward tries to counter it with a takedown but Bond pushes his down on his head and steps out. Bond lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Woodward looks to land a combination but Bond avoids it well. Woodward gets a clinch. Bond is trying to push Woodward away but Woodward has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Woodward lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bond. Woodward lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bond backwards. Woodward manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woodward has Bond up against the cage in a clinch.

Woodward goes for a double leg but Bond avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bond continues to drive forward. Woodward gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Woodward fails to pull guard.
Micheal Bond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dani Woodward. Bond tries to circle away but Woodward has him pinned against the cage. Woodward tries for a takedown. No joy.
Woodward manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Woodward looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bond is one step ahead there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bond trying to control but Woodward is working from the bottom.

Bond is refusing to be controlled, as Woodward sits in half guard. Bond manages to escape and get back to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bond is looking to work some ground and pound but Woodward has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Micheal Bond will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Woodward has a closed guard, preventing Bond from standing up. Bond stands and steps away. Woodward gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bond lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Bond's corner calls for a 1-2. Bond obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woodward closes the distance and clinches. Bond wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woodward has him pressed against the cage. Bond throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Woodward on the side of the head. Bond checks a leg kick. A punch combination from Bond misses. Bond throws a head kick that Woodward semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bond shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Woodward eats them both and turns towards Bond to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Bond uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodward.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bond blocks a leg kick. Woodward is still on wobbly legs! Can Bond finish him? A left lands for Bond. Bond thumps Woodward with a low kick. Bond tries a head kick but it misses.
Woodward throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bond fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Woodward manages to avoid it. Woodward throws a counter combo. Woodward seems to have recovered his senses. Nice takedown defense from Bond. No joy for Woodward on that attempt. Micheal Bond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dani Woodward. Bond ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bond blocks a head kick by Woodward.
Bond pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Woodward back to the cage. Bond follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Woodward clinches up against the cage. Bond blocks an elbow strike from Woodward.

Woodward is trying to break the clinch but Bond is controlling him. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bond here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Woodward keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bond's efforts to push away. Bond blocks an elbow strike. Woodward keeps control of Bond as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Woodward dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Woodward is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
