The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walters closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Patch did well to prevent Walters getting side control.

Patch looking for submissions off his back.

Walters wants to work for an arm triangle but Patch is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Patch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Patch keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Walters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Patch has managed to free his arm - good work.

Walters is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Patch sees it coming and defends easily.
Walters wants to free his trapped foot but Patch is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Patch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walters is aware though and is defending well.
Patch looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Patch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Walters with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Walters passes Patch's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Walters is looking to advance position but Patch won't allow it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
