Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Robshaw (ranked 7830 p4p, 210 weight class) and Kostas Karelis (ranked 3341 p4p, 134 weight class). Martin Robshaw has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Robshaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kostas Karelis! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelis takes one on the button. Good shot there by Robshaw. Karelis throws a body punch but Robshaw moves out of range. Karelis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Robshaw is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Robshaw slips under a jab from Karelis. Robshaw definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Nice defenses there by Robshaw. Karelis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Robshaw slips a straight right by Karelis. Karelis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Robshaw scores with a jab. Karelis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Karelis working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Karelis lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. You can see the frustration on Robshaw's face as Karelis controls the position. Karelis misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Karelis connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Robshaw some visible discomfort.
Karelis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Robshaw's shoulder. That is not cool. Karelis looks up at the clock and then as Robshaw takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Karelis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelis controlling from side mount. Karelis working the ground and pound from side control. Karelis happy to just control the position for now. Karelis working the strikes but Robshaw uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Karelis not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Robshaw taking some punishment here, with Karelis in his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karelis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Karelis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Robshaw wants to control but Karelis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ground and pound from Karelis. Robshaw on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Robshaw is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Karelis scores with a couple of nice shots. That's three minutes gone in the round. Karelis stalling. Karelis winds up and cracks Robshaw with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Karelis with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Let's hope that Karelis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Robshaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Karelis gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karelis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Robshaw swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Karelis. A cross from Robshaw lands. Karelis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Robshaw avoids the body shot from Karelis.
Robshaw lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A punch lands to the side of Karelis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Karelis is rocked! Robshaw lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Karelis head around and knocks him out cold! Robshaw hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Martin Robshaw!
