The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanov tries for a takedown but Fernandez circles away easily
and Fernandez counters with a one-two to the body.
Fernandez scores with a hook to the body. Romanov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Javier Fernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Romanov is on top in guard.
