Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ambe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rollo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class).
Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of , fighting out of , Rick Ambe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of , fighting out of , Rollo Gracie! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie is looking to clinch but Ambe is avoiding it.
Gracie gets a double leg takedown into Ambe's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ambe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard. Ambe trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ambe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Ambe from controlling successfully. Ambe is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control. Ambe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ambe wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Ambe looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gracie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ambe looking to control.
Ambe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ambe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ambe swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie moves out of range of the strikes. Gracie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ambe's guard. Ambe wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ambe is keeping the position for now. Gracie wants to control from the top but Ambe keeps moving. Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Ambe. Ambe is looking to sweep but instead, Gracie has passed into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ambe is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie works his foot free and advances to mount. Gracie controlling the position easily from mount. Ambe wants to control but Gracie is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rollo Gracie dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Ambe circles away.
Gracie feints and as Ambe raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ambe wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gracie manages to pass to side control. Ambe gets full guard. Ambe looking for a sweep. Not yet Ambe, not yet. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Ambe is keeping the position. Ambe working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie stays in close to Ambe's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie won't allow Ambe to sweep him here. Rollo Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ambe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ambe looking for a sweep. Not yet Ambe, not yet. Ambe isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Ambe on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie! The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gracie. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Gracie is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ambe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Ambe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie tries to control but Ambe wriggling away. Ambe wants to control but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ambe wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ambe can't escape the position.
Well, with Gracie on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Ambe is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Gracie slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ambe defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Gracie controls the position. More stalling from Gracie. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie tries to keep control of the position but Ambe is staying busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rollo Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Ambe throws a head punch that misses. Ambe has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gracie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Ambe not allowing Gracie to control his hands. Ambe doesn't have the hooks in and Gracie manages to turn into his guard.
Gracie sitting in guard here, content to control. Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ambe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ambe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie clinches up against the cage. Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ambe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ambe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ambe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ambe wants it to stay on the feet. Rick Ambe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rollo Gracie. Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gracie is looking to clinch. Gracie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ambe. Gracie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ambe misses with a short punch on the inside. Gracie is working for takedown but Ambe is calmly controlling the position for now. Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ambe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ambe jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gracie goes for a double leg but Ambe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ambe continues to drive forward. Gracie is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie shoots in and bounces Ambe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Ambe. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Ambe is retaining full guard. Ambe wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. Ambe throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gracie preventing the sweep. Ambe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gracie looking to pass the guard.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Rollo Gracie! In his post fight interview, Rollo Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. The defeated Rick Ambe had this to say: 'retirement here i come '.
