Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emory Terranova (ranked 2908 p4p, 160 weight class) and Mike Okafor (ranked 4765 p4p, 234 weight class). Mike Okafor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terranova looks to land a right hand but Okafor moved out of range.
Terranova sets himself, and Okafor steps forward looking for the clinch! Terranova avoids it this time.
We've been told by Terranova's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Terranova feints and as Okafor raises his hands in defense, Terranova changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Terranova throwing strikes but missing.
Okafor thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Terranova drops back looking for a leg! Okafor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Okafor manages to kick Terranova off! Terranova jumps back into Okafor's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Terranova drops back, looking for a kneebar! Okafor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Okafor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Okafor!

Okafor is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Terranova knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Terranova regains full guard. Nicely done.
Okafor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Terranova has his hands on Okafor's head, controlling the position.
Terranova bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Okafor's guard.

Okafor preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Terranova passes Okafor's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Terranova has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Okafor tries to buck Terranova off but Terranova takes his back!

Okafor won't enjoy being in this position. Terranova looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Okafor is tapping - it's over boys! Terranova picks up the submission victory!
