The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens.
Riley takes the fight into the clinch.
Riley can't get the takedown.
Riley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevens is trying to keep an underhook but Riley manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Stevens is trying to control but Riley manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens tries to hold on but Riley pushes him away.
Stevens is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Riley wants to get back to his feet but Stevens is holding on tight.
Stevens gets back to half guard.
Stevens is not content to let Riley control the position.
Stevens looking for submissions off his back.

Stevens tries to roll over but Riley keeps him under control.
Stevens wants to control but Riley is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Stevens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Stevens makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stevens.
Stevens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stevens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Riley is desperately trying to improve his position but Stevens has a good base and remains in mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stevens controlling the position easily from mount.
Stevens is trying to control here but Riley has managed to regain half guard.
Stevens is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Stevens wants to take a breather but Riley is having none of it.
Stevens slows the pace down in half guard.
Riley is refusing to be controlled, as Stevens sits in half guard.

Stevens is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Riley is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
