Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hans Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class).
Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of , fighting out of , Hans Richter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of , fighting out of , James Hackett! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richter misses with a takedown attempt and Hackett counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Richter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Richter is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hackett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Richter prevents Hackett from improving his position. Hackett blocking the ground and pound attempt from Richter. Richter lands strikes from half guard. Hackett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Richter is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richter seems to be looking for submissions.
Hackett keeping hold of Richter's head, controlling as best he can. Richter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hackett is controlling Richter's position as best he can from this difficult position. Richter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hackett wants to control but Richter is keeping busy.
Richter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hackett looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hackett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hackett wants to improve his position but Richter is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Richter connects with a nice short shot to Hackett's temple. Hackett avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Richter. Richter wants to free his trapped foot but Hackett is holding on for dear life with his legs. Richter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hackett is trying to maintain the position but Richter is very close to passing his half guard. Richter scoring with strikes to the body and head. Richter working Hackett over with strikes. Richter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hackett keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Richter not landing any meaningful shots this time. Richter decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Richter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hackett. Hackett now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Hackett has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Richter is landing a low percentage of strikes. Richter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Richter lands with a hook. Hackett tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hackett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Richter.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab by Hackett. Hackett connects with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hackett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richter was well out of range. Poor timing from Hackett. We've been told by Richter's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hackett lands with a straight right. Richter didn't see that one coming. Richter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hackett as he avoids it easily. Richter sets himself, and Hackett steps forward looking for the clinch! Richter avoids it this time. Richter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The crowd cheers as Hackett lands an impressive looking overhand right. Richter doesn't seem phased though. Hackett on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Richter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Richter looks to score with a jab to the body but Hackett is just out of range. Richter avoids the body shot from Hackett.
Hackett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Richter. Hackett throws out a counter right but Richter avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Richter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Richter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hackett manages to avoid it. Richter swats away the attempt to clinch by Hackett. A jab from Hackett does it's job there.
Richter is rocked! Hackett flashes Richter a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Richter's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Richter crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Hackett punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
